A brief History
On November 29, 1965, through the Decree of the Minister of Higher Education and Science (PTIP) Number 014/dar of 1965, Universitas Trisakti was established. At that time, Universitas Trisakti had five faculties, namely the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Engineering which had 4 (four) departments, namely the Department of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Architecture.
The Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti (FTI-Usakti) was founded in 1982 based on the Decree of the Chancellor of Universitas Trisakti Number: 026/USAKTI/SKR/IX/1982, which consists of 2 departments, namely the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering. This was followed by the establishment of the Department of Industrial Engineering (1984) and Informatics Engineering (1996). These four departments manage one undergraduate study program (S-1).
FTI Usakti began developing a stratum 2 (Masters) degree program in 1993, through the establishment of a Master degree in Electrical Engineering study program, on August 15 1993. This was followed by a Masters in Industrial Engineering in 2001 and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering in 2005. Apart from that, in 2001 in the Information Engineering department, FTI Usakti also established a Bachelor of Information Systems study program.
Furthermore, in 2023, FTI Usakti will open a PhD (Doctoral) study program in Industrial Engineering and a Professional Engineer Program (PSPPI) study program.
All 10 study programs at FTI Usakti have been accredited by the Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM), both LAMTEKNIK and LAM INFOKOM, with the following details:

Three undergraduate study programs at FTI Usakti have also achieved international accreditation from IABEE (International Accreditation Board of Engineering Education), namely Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.
