In order to fulfill the invitation from PT TMMIN, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 10:00 – 14:30 WIB, three FTI Usakti lecturers led by Dean Prof. Dr. Ir. Rianti Dewi WS, M.Eng IPM, accompanied by Deputy Dean IV Dr. Ahmad Zuhdi, M.Kom, lecturer in Informatics study program and Muhammad Fadhlan, ST, MT. lecturer in Mechanical Engineering FTI Usakti conducted a working visit and provided professional consultation to experts at PT TMMIN. Before the main event, the team was invited to visit PT TMMI’s production floor at Plant # 3, which is located in the KIIC Industrial Estate (Tol Jakarta-Cikampek KM 47) Karawang, West Java. Plant#3 is the location for the manufacture of car engine blocks, especially with regard to casting technology with aluminum metal base material.
The next event was a working meeting to identify potential cooperation and its utilization, which benefits both parties. There are three activities that will be followed up, the first is the implementation of industrial internships for FTI Usakti students, either following the MBKM program, or the Company scheme program (PT Toyota Astra Motor) or voluntary internships (student initiatives). The second activity is the implementation of Community Service, to improve the competence of industrial workers, through professional training and workshops. The last activity is the provision of professional consulting guidance from expert lecturers related to providing solutions to existing problems and the potential for developing the performance and excellence of PT TMMIN.
The leadership of FTI Usakti and PT TMMIN agreed to follow up the working visit with the implementation and development of cooperation programs, both in the academic field and industrial affiliation. Hopefully this agreement will be realized in the near future, for the benefit of both parties.
