In commemoration of the 59th Anniversary of Trisakti University, FTI Usakti organized the Smart Rest Area Expo 2024 on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. The activity, which collaborates with PT Krida Bangun Persada, the company that manages Rest Area 72-A Cipularang Toll Road in Purwakarta, consists of exhibitions and webinars that are held in a hybrid manner, namely in the Trisakti Smart Classroom room and connected to the Zoom channel and Youtube channel.
The webinar entitled “Development of modern business and industrial areas based on superior products and resources in the toll road rest area” was held successfully and became a forum for strategic discussions, regarding the development of the rest area as a modern business and industrial center based on local products and resources.
The webinar presented 3 resource persons, from experts, practitioners and academics. The first speaker was Ir. Johannes Heru Gunawan, President Commissioner of PT Lumbung Yusuf Indonesia Maju, an expert in infrastructure development who presented a topic on Planning and Optimizing the Development of Rest Areas and Hinterland Areas on Toll Roads. The second speaker Jimmy Leo, ST, President Director of PT Krida Bangun Persada, presented the topic of Business Development Strategy in Rest Area and Hinterland of Toll Road. The last speaker Dr. Ahmad Zuhdi, M.Kom, lecturer in Informatics FTI Usakti, explained about Empowering Society 6.0-based business and industrial areas.
This webinar was attended by participants from various backgrounds, ranging from entrepreneurs, rest area managers, to academics. Interactive discussions between speakers and participants succeeded in providing new insights regarding the development of local-based business areas on strategic toll road routes. The interactive discussion has provided new insights into utilizing the potential of the rest area to encourage the growth of local industries and businesses in creating excellence and sustainable national economic equity.
Before the webinar began, the inauguration of a collaboration between FTI Usakti and PT Krida Bangun Persada was carried out, to make the 72-A rest area an object under the guidance of FTI Usakti, to facilitate the academic community in carrying out their tridharma activities.
