Jakarta – Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) Universitas Trisakti successfully held International Journal Writing Training on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. This activity is part of FTI’s efforts to improve the quality and quantity of scientific publications from lecturers and researchers within the faculty.

The training entitled “Keys to Success in Penetrating Reputable International Journals” was attended by dozens of participants consisting of lecturers, researchers, and students from various study programs in FTI. This event was held in a hybrid manner, which is a combination of offline and online methods. Participants who attended offline attended the training at the Trisakti Smart Classroom (TSC) 7th Floor, Hery Hartanto F & G Building, while online participants followed through the Zoom Meeting platform.

The resource person for this training was Syah Alam, S.Pd, MT, PhD, a lecturer in Electrical Engineering at Universitas Trisakti who also has experience in publishing reputable international journals. In his presentation, Syah Alam, S.Pd, MT, PhD provided material on strategies and tips for writing quality international journals, starting from selecting relevant topics, preparing good manuscripts, to the process of submitting and publishing in the right journal.

The participants were very enthusiastic in attending this training. They asked questions and discussed with the speakers about various matters related to international journal writing. Some of the participants, Dr. Ir. Nora Azmi, ST, MT, Dianing Novita Nurmala Putri, ST. Msc., Dr. Ir. Teddy Siswanto, MMSI, and Dr. Ir. Rina Fitriana, S.T., M.M., I.P.M., said that this training was very useful for them. “I understand better how to write a good and correct journal, and how to choose a journal that suits my research field,” she said.

The Dean of FTI Trisakti University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rianti Dewi Sulamet-Ariobimo, ST, M.Eng, IPM, said that this activity is one of FTI’s efforts to support the improvement of the quality of research and scientific publications at Universitas Trisakti. “We hope that with this training, more FTI lecturers and researchers will be able to produce quality scientific work and be published in reputable international journals,” she said.

This International Journal Writing Training is a routine agenda organized by FTI Universitas Trisakti. This activity is expected to continue to make a positive contribution to improving the quality of research and scientific publications in Indonesia.
