Jakarta, June 19, 2025 – In the midst of accelerating digital transformation and the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 towards the Society 5.0 era, Trisakti University Industrial Engineering students show their commitment and creativity in presenting smart solutions based on automation technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) through the Automation Project Expo (APE) 2025.
With the theme “Smart Living Through Intelligent Automation”, APE 2025 is an annual event that accommodates students’ innovative work in the Control Theory and Introduction to Automation (TKPO) course. The projects on display are the result of the Project-Based Learning approach, where students are challenged to develop prototypes or IoT-based applications that are able to answer real problems in the industrial, household, and social environment sectors.
The event was officially opened by the Head of the Industrial Engineering Department, Dr. Rina Fitriana, ST, MM, and continued with remarks by Idriwal Mayusda, ST, MT, as Head of the Production System Laboratory and TKPO Course Coordinator. APE 2025 was held on June 19, 2025 at the 8th Floor Auditorium of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, and was attended by 17 student teams.
A total of three cross-departmental judges also assessed the students’ projects, namely:
The winners of APE 2025 were announced at the end of the event, with the following results:

This activity also involved two TKPO lecturers, namely Idriwal Mayusda, ST, MT and Annisa Dewi Akbari, ST, M.Sc., who also actively guided students in designing and developing their projects.
Through APE 2025, students not only practice the theories they have learned, but also contribute significantly in encouraging the application of automation technology for the sustainability and efficiency of various sectors of life. APE is clear evidence that the spirit of innovation and collaboration of the younger generation is very important in facing the challenges of an increasingly complex and technology-based world.
