Following the official launch of the collaboration between UTeM and Usakti on Thursday, July 18, 2025, the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) at Universitas Trisakti received a visit from two senior officials from UTeM: Prof. Dr. Mohd. Rizal bin Salleh as Dean Post Graduates School and Prof. Dr. Hazli Rafis as Director of the Career and Marketability Alumni Center. The meeting, held in the main meeting room of FTI Universitas Trisakti, aimed to evaluate the existing collaboration and explore potential academic and research collaborations in the future.

The meeting emphasized the importance of international collaboration in enhancing the quality of education and research. In the field of education, there are opportunities for students and faculty members from both institutions to exchange experiences in teaching and learning activities, particularly for faculty members pursuing doctoral studies. In the 2025/2026 academic year, two students from UTeM will participate in the Industrial Engineering program.
For research activities, there are opportunities for joint research with matching grant funding schemes across various fields, particularly in AI and cybersecurity, as well as energy transition and industrial sustainability.

Further discussion topics include potential areas for collaboration in:

• Student and Faculty Exchange Programs, both inbound and outbound
• Joint Scientific Activities (seminars, conferences)
• Curriculum Development

This meeting is beneficial for developing the capacity of both institutions, for the Faculty of Industrial Technology of Universitas Trisakti and the Technical University of Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) to realize the excellence of their respective institutions, through close and mutually beneficial collaboration, and to contribute to the advancement of science and technology at the regional and global levels.
We hope that this collaboration will continue to grow and provide tangible benefits for both parties.
