In order to establish and enhance international cooperation networks, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, FTI Usakti held an International Guest scientific event and inaugurated a research and development collaboration on nanotechnology with the Oregon Renewable Energy Center (OREC). The public lecture, held at the FTI Usakti Auditorium, featured two academics from Arizona State University, Dr. Derrick Speaks and Dr. Rachel Speaks. The public lecture was presented in a hybrid format (online and offline) and was attended by researchers and academics from Trisakti University and Bina Nusantara University.
After a break, the event continued with the inauguration of the cooperation between OREC and FTI Usakti in research and development in the field of nanotechnology to support national energy security and food security. The cooperation agreement was signed by the Dean of FTI Usakti, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rianti Dewi Wulan Sari, ST M.Eng IPM, and the Director of OREC, Prof. Arief Suriadi Budiman, Ph.D.
In fact, the collaboration between FTI Usakti and OREC has been initiated since 2021, through collaboration with Bina Nusantara University and PT Impack Pratama, in the development of Smart Dome (a smart agriculture facility for drying agricultural products using solar power and artificial intelligence (AI) technology). This project is funded by a Kedaireka grant.
May this collaboration bring increasing benefits to both parties.
