Socialization of Elective Courses for Even Semester Academic Year 2024/2025 with the material “Strengthening Sociotechnopreneurship in the Eurasian Community (UKR6302, 3 credits)” at the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Trisakti University was held on Monday, February 3, 2025 online (zoom).
In the era of globalization and increasingly fierce competition, students are required to have not only technical competence, but also a strong entrepreneurial spirit and high social awareness. The course “Strengthening Sociotechnopreneurship in the Eurasian Community” comes as an answer to this need. This course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to develop technology-based businesses that are not only economically profitable, but also have a positive impact on society, especially in the Eurasian region.
The socialization activity was opened by the Vice Dean I of FTI, Dr. Ir. Nora Azmi, MT, and continued with remarks and an explanation of the background of this course by the Vice Chancellor I of Usakti, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Burhannudinnur, M.Sc., IPU, ASEAN Eng. A complete explanation of the course “Strengthening Sociotechnopreneurship in the Eurasian Community”, was given by the PIC of this course at the University level, namely Emelia Sari, ST, MT, PhD who was also the resource person for this socialization event.
The socialization of the course which is supported by the Eurasia Foundation Grant in 2024 aims to:

• Introducing the course “Strengthening Sociotechnopreneurship in the Eurasian Community” to students of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Trisakti University.
• Explaining the objectives, benefits, and materials to be learned in the course.
• Encouraging student interest in choosing this course as an elective course in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.

This socialization activity was carried out in the form of presentations and interactive discussions. Competent resource persons in the field of sociotechnopreneurship provided material and answered questions from students. The material presented included:

• The concept of sociotechnopreneurship and its role in community development.
• Opportunities and challenges of sociotechnopreneurship in the Eurasia region.
• Strategies for developing sustainable and social impact-oriented technology-based businesses.
• Curriculum and assessment system of the course “Strengthening Sociotechnopreneurship in the Eurasian Community”.

The socialization activity, which was attended by 130 participants, ran smoothly and received enthusiastic responses from students. Mrs. Emelia Sari as the PIC of this course and Mr. WR 1 explained some of the benefits of attending this course, including the opportunity to gain knowledge through expert lecturers from various countries, expand cooperation networks and obtain international lecture certificates.
The course “Strengthening Sociotechnopreneurship in the Eurasian Community” is the right choice for students who want to develop themselves into successful sociopreneurs and contribute positively to society. By taking this course, students will have additional provisions to create technology-based businesses that are innovative, sustainable, and oriented towards social impact.
