On Thursday, May 8, 2025, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Trisakti University received an honorary visit from Prof. Tim Pasang, Ph.D., Chair of the Department of Engineering Design, Manufacturing and Management Systems, Western Michigan University, USA. This visit is part of the efforts to strengthen international cooperation and improve the quality of education and research in the field of mechanical engineering.

During his visit, Prof. Pasang reviewed various laboratory facilities such as the Physical Metallurgy Laboratory and Production Process Laboratory, which are important facilities in supporting research and technology development. He showed interest in potential research collaborations that could be explored together.

In addition, Prof. Pasang also visited the department secretariat and discussed directly with the lecturers and staff about the possibility of future academic cooperation. This interaction opened a productive dialog space to establish sustainable institutional relationships.

This visit is a strategic moment in strengthening the relationship between Universitas Trisakti and Western Michigan University.
