On Thursday, August 1, 2024, 2 Professors from Northern Arizona University (United States), namely Prof. Dr. Derrick Speaks and Prof. Dr. Rachel Speaks, returned to FTI Usakti to give hybrid lectures (online and offline) and visits to several laboratories and discussions for future cooperation program plans.
In the first session of the public lecture Prof. Derrick shared his knowledge and experience related to his research, with the topic Semiconductors: more efficient solar cells: novel methods for doping for next generation applications. Project Overview: Semiconductor training center. The second session continued with a presentation and discussion with Prof. Rachel, on the topic of Product Design for Advanced Manufacturing.
After an Ishoma break, the two professors and department leaders visited several laboratories in the Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering departments. The visit was closed with a discussion about the next cooperation plan. Both Professors and OREC Director Prof. Arief Budiman agreed to increase their support for FTI Usakti in advancing research and international scientific publications of FTI Usakti lecturers as well as in education and teaching activities, especially in organizing international Guest Lecture.
